What Can RFQ- Do For You?

1- Hide/Show all the prices and choose RFQ as an option in the WOO-RFQ section of WooCommerce settings. All the items in the cart are saved after the checkout as an order with RFQ status. You can then adjust the prices and turn the order to a pending stauts to allow payment by the customer.

2- Choose normal checkout in the Woo-RFQ setting and enable RFQ on selected products. This is the default setting that can be changed. Quote requests are added to the RFQ cart and when submitted are saved as an order with an RFQ status.

3-Hide prices only for visitors. Show prices only to logged-in users.

You can show/hide prices from the RFQ tab in WooCommerce settings. Prices are shown by default. Woo-RFQ allows your customers to add items to the cart like they normally would and submit the cart as an RFQ.

                        

RFQ-ToolKit Quick and Easy Set Up Guide:

Initial Setup


Go to your dashboard and click WooCommerce Settings.

Click RFQ-ToolKit  (the last tab at the top).

That takes you to the setup page for RFQ.  It has several sections found in tab links:

  • General
  • Labels
  • Links
  • Quote Request Page
  • Email & Marketing

  • Custom Form
  • File Uploads
  • Customer Notes
  • Quote Button
  • License

 

 General Options

RFQ General options allows you to customize the checkout options.  Choose “Normal Checkout” if you want prices to be shown by default.  Then you can choose specific products in the product setup that you want customers to be able to inquire about using RFQ.  Choose “RFQ Checkout” if you want the customer to only be able to check out using a Request For Quote.

  1. Checkout Options:
    • RFQ Checkout Option comes with the additional option to Always Show prices on the site, so the prices can be seen, but checkout is still always a Request For Quote.
    • Normal Checkout Option comes with the additional option to show prices while allowing customers to checkout using the published prices OR to request a personalized quote for any item.
  2. Always show prices with RFQ checkout is for RFQ checkout only, and allows prices to be seen but checkout is still a request for quote.
  3. Show prices with Normal Checkout allows prices to be seen, so that customers can checkout with the published prices or request a quote.
  4. Hide Price from Visitors hides prices from visitors who are not logged in.  Visitors who are not logged in can only request a quote and checkout in RFQ mode.
  5. Allow Other Payment Methods in RFQ Checkout is to allow the customer to pay or submit a quote request at Checkout. Allows either “Checkout or Request Quote” for the entire cart.
  6. Bulk RFQ enable/Disable All Products is for use in Normal Checkout only, and it enables or disables all products in bulk for quote requests.

All changes must be saved before they become activated.

Labels

In the Labels section, you can customize your cart labels.  Labels that can have customized wording include:

  • Add to Cart
  • Add to Cart Again
  • Add to RFQ Cart (Normal Checkout)
  • In RFQ Cart
  • Proceed to Checkout
  • Proceed to Submit Your RFQ
  • Submit Your RFQ
  • View Your RFQ Cart
  • RFQ Cart is Empty
  • Return to Shop

 

Links to RFQ Page

In the Links to RFQ Page you can choose where on your site you would like for links to the RFQ cart to show up.  The options are:

  • Show a link to RFQ cart at the top of the archives page.
  • Show a link to RFQ cart at the bottom of the archives page.
  • Show a link to RFQ cart in the normal Cart page.
  • Show a link to RFQ cart in the single product description.
  • Show a link to RFQ cart  in the Thank You page.

Quote Request Page

The next tab in the RFQ-ToolKit is the Quote Request Page.  This section is only relevant when using the Normal Checkout mode.  When operating in Normal Checkout mode a default page called “Quote Requests” is created to view the RFQ list. 

 

You may need to manually add the page to the menu in the WooCommerce dashboard under Appearance – Menu.  Then it will appear as an option with the rest of your menu pages.  You can control the layout and the page template for this page in your WordPress admin area.

The Update Quote Button assists in styling the button to visually integrate with your existing theme.

 

The Submit Quote Button can be styled in this section as well.

 

The RFQ-ToolKit also provides an quick way to add HTML messages or descriptions both before and after the items.

Email and Marketing

There are two parts to the Email setup for RFQ ToolKit.  The first is an expansion of the email provided by WooCommerce (you can see screenshots of that section at the end of this page) and the other is a new tab found on RFQ-ToolKit below.   This tab is where you can manage the messages in the email and confirmation pages. 

  • You can insert HTML content and for the email and thank you page.
  • You include product specific content from the product set-up pages.
  • Include product specific content the the Thank You page.
  • Show product specific content in Quote Received email confirmation.
  • Show product messages before the content.

Write Marketing Content for Email and Confirmation Pages

You can:

  • Show the content you create below in the Quote Received / Thank You page
  • Show the content in the Quote Received / Thank You email.
  • Customize the content to customers in the confirmation and thank you page.

Some other options for the email and thank you pages include the ability to:

  • Show prices in the customer email confirmation message
  • Change “reply to” in admin to the customer billing email in emails sent to admin for convenience.
  • Add product attributes you want to include in emails separated by commas.
  • Add product custom fields in the.
  • Include customer notes in the Quote Sent email.
  • Include the Customer Offer in the Quote Sent email.

 

Additions to WooCommerce Email 

You can format your RFQ-ToolKit email notifications in the same place you configure all WooCommerce emails through the Emails tab below.  You will see that there are 4 additional email notifications for RFQ-ToolKit:

  • RFQ-ToolKit Quote Sent
  • RFQ-ToolKit Admin Note
  • RFQ-ToolKit New Request for Quote
  • RFQ-ToolKit New RFQ Admin

 

 

Customer Offer

The RFQ-ToolKit Customer Offer feature allows you to let the customer make an offer on the whole cart when they request a quote. You can also customize your message to encourage combinations of items or other  marketing strategies.

 

 

Custom Form

This feature allows you to incorporate your own Ninja Form in the “Request for Quote” page (in Normal Checkout) or in the WooCommerce checkout page (in RFQ checkout mode). 

 

File Upload

The File Upload in the RFQ-ToolKit has many useful features:

  • Allows customers to upload files and attachments and link them to orders.
  • Controls the type of files, size and number per upload.
  • Files can be linked to orders at the time of checkout or later in the orders or the upload screen in the “My Account” section.
  • Linked files can be viewed in the admin order page and in the “orders” page of “My Account” section for that order by the customer.
  • Customer can view and manage their uploads in the “uploads” section of “My Account” section.
  • Customize color and mouse effects of the “Upload files” buttons.

 

You can set up your reCAPTCHA security and enter your keys here.

You can label the File Upload, set the maximum file size and number of files per upload.  You can also choose the position on the checkout page and choose to allow customer to delete an upload.  There is also a place for you to customize instructions for the customer.

 

The last portion of the File Upload feature allows you to style the Upload File button to visually integrate with your theme.

 

Customer Notes

This feature allows the customer to add notes to orders and requests for quotes.  The note triggers a notification to the shop manager or admin.

 

Quote Button

In this section you can create an “Add to Quote” button with a shortcode.  You can also style the “Add to Quote” button for Normal checkout.

 

License

The final tab for the RFQ-ToolKit enables you to use your license to receive automatic updates.
